Flights to Aspen
Winter 2011/2012
The Aspen/Pitkin County Airport is scheduled to have up to 30 flights daily this winter on three airlines through six connecting hubs. With the addition of the new runway extension scheduled for completion in October, 2011, nonstop flights from distant out-of-state connecting hubs will be allowed without considerable weight restrictions. American Airlines flies to Aspen
American Eagle Airlines, the regional affiliate of American Airlines, will begin nonstop seasonal service to Aspen and both Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport and Los Angeles International Airport beginning December 15th, 2011. The seasonal service will run from December 15th, 2011 through April 2nd, 2012 and again from June 14th, 2012 through August 20th, 2012. All flights into Aspen will be on Bombardier CRJ700 aircraft offering a smooth, quite ride and while featuring rich leather seating with adjustable headrests in a two-by-two seating arrangement.
The American Eagle network is the largest regional airline system in the world, with over 1700 daily flights to more than 150 cities throughout the United States, Canada, the Bahamas, the Caribbean and Mexico.
United Airlines flies to Aspen
United Airlines is Aspen's largest airline carrier with more daily flights than all the other airlines serving ASE combined. United will operate four daily non-stops from Chicago, four from Los Angeles, two from San Francisco, two from Houston, and 11 daily trips between Aspen and Denver, for a total of 21 flights daily into and out of Aspen for the upcoming 2011 - 2012 winter season. All flights into Aspen will be operated by SkyWest Airlines with CRJ700 aircraft, featuring a United First cabin and United Economy Plus seating, which offers customers up to five inches of additional legroom.

Frontier Airlines flies to Aspen
Frontier Airlines flies into Aspen with four daily non-stop flights from Denver International Airport (DEN) on a new fleet of Bombardier Q400 aircraft. The quiet, fuel-efficient and technologically-advanced Q400 is ideal for flying into airports like Aspen's Sardy field (operated by Lynx Aviation).
With seating for up to 74 passengers the Q400 has no weight restrictions in the summer and is more resilient to tailwinds than other aircraft models.
