How did your journey with The St. Regis Aspen Resort begin?

My good friend Silvia suggested I come visit in April, and I moved here the following August. I took the classic Aspen saying and truly lived it – You come for the winter but stay for the summer.

 

What would be your most memorable guest experience?

I met former Prime Minister of Pakistan, Benazir Bhutto shortly before her death in 2008. She left me with such a demure impression.

 

Describe working at The St. Regis Aspen Resort in three words or less?

ESSENTIAL

 

How do you turn a bad day around?

I remind myself of what a privilege it is work at The St. Regis in beautiful Aspen, Colorado.

 

Have you had a moment at work where you just had to sit back and laugh?

When I met Carrot Top.

 

What do you do to relax after work?

I enjoy hanging out in the central core of Aspen with a refreshing adult beverage close by.

 

What advice would you give someone looking to start a career in the hospitality industry?

If you are a people person with excellent communication skills this is the career for you.

 

If you could pick and room in the resort to stay for one night, which would it be any why?

Room 264 – Loft Suite. Invite some friends over for a fun night “in town.”

When traveling to Aspen what do you think makes guests return to The St. Regis Aspen Resort year after year?

It is simply the beauty of our opulent little town.

What would be your most memorable guest experience?

When a prince from the UAE has us “rent” the entire ski mountain so that he could ski with only his family for one day. For the small price of $10000 an hour ANYTHING is possible.

 

Have you had a moment at work where you just had to sick back and laugh?

When a guest was flying over the Rocky Mountains en route and saw a patch of snow atop a 14,000 ft. peak. Upon her arrival she instructed the concierge desk that she saw this beautiful patch of snow on top of this mountain and she demanded that she have a ski instructor take her there for her lesson. Pretty much impossible and you may actually kill yourself.

 

What was your favorite hotel/resort stay and why?

St. Regis Rome – Classic & Elegant

 

What do you like about living in the Aspen area?

The beautiful mountains & Aspen trees. And the people are easy going and friendly.

 

If you could pick any room in the resort to stay for one night, which one would it be & why?

540 – Presidential suite. This room has the most beautiful views of Aspen mountain!

 

What’s your favorite outdoor activity?

I really don’t enjoy any of the winter sports. But I do love hiking especially at the Maroon Bells.

 

When traveling to Aspen what do you think makes guests return to The St. Regis Aspen Resort year after year?

The guests know that they are going to see the same friendly St. Regis staff faces year after year.

It began 11 years ago as a room attendant.

 

Describe working at The St. Regis Aspen Resort in 3 words or less.

I love it!

 

What do you do to relax after work?

I go to school. I practice dance. Enjoy church & I love to just relax.

 

What do you like about living in the Aspen area?

I enjoy the peace & quiet of living in the Roaring Fork Valley. I also love the snow. The fall foliage is amazing I love the red, brown and yellow color combinations on the trees.

 

If you could pick any room in the resort to stay for one night, which one would it be & why?

Room 552 would be my choice. The view is absolutely amazing. I could really enjoy looking out the window all day.

 

What’s your favorite outdoor activity?

Long walks and hike. No better way to enjoy the scenerary.
